Mora Companion Heavy Duty
The quintessential bushcraft tool. Morakniv are world renowned for their excellent knives, and we'd choose no other when recommending a knife for use in the backwoods. The heavy duty companion is ideal for all round use whether crafting greenwood or splitting billets for feathersticks or firewood.

224mm long: Blade length 100mm
3.2mm thick strong blade
Carbon Steel
Scandi Grind
This knife is specially designed for hard use in the outdoors. The handle has a slightly rubberised texture for excellent grip along.
We also offer the option of grinding the spine of the knife to square it off for use with a Firesteel, if you’ve tried using a standard Mora for this in the past you’ll know what a valuable addition this is. It’s perfectly possible for you to do this at home with a chainsaw file and about an hour’s work, but for £5 we’ll save you the trouble.
You must be 18 or older to order.
We gift this knife FREE to our guests on the Itinerant Bushcraft Weekend.

The most reliable means of producing fire outdoors.
The StrikeFire is a new British made product using the best ferrocerium rod available, a hardened steel scraper.
The StrikeFire Firesteel is the model we use on all our courses, and one I personally carry on every excursion we undertake to rely on everyday. The difference I've found between cheap versions and quality ferrocerium comes down to their use at those crucial moments, where you need to drive strong large sparks into marginal tinder after a day or two of rain. A good firesteel will allow you to easily peel shavings off the end of the rod without igniting, and is volatile enough to use with cold hands using gross motor muscles to start your fire. That, ultimately is why I use StrikeFire. - Jamie Dakota

An extra-long and extra thick fire steel for better function and ergonomics resulting in better efficiency. 100mm in length and a diameter of 10mm for a fire steel easy to use in any weather. The sparks generated get approximately 3000oC.
“I was looking for a quality Firesteel without the faff, bells, and whistles of some models… This is exactly what I was after, specifically to add to a life-line or slip into a possibles pouch. It’s on the harder end of the ferrocerium spectrum, which makes it ideal for peeling shavings off first before ignition.” Jamie Dakota
